History

The community was named for its founder and first mayor, Edgerton W. Day,[1] who purchased Script error: No such module "convert". of land from the CPR in 1904 to form the basis of Daysland.[2]

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Town of Daysland had a population of 789 living in 333 of its 356 total private dwellings, a change of Template:Percentage from its 2016 population of 824.
